Is it safe to go to the doctor?

Even as much of the country is slowly re-opening, many cities, counties and states continue to enforce stay-at-home policies. Because of this, many people are postponing their medical appointments, or they’re not seeking medical help even when they or a loved one are sick.

Johns Hopkins physicians Brian Hasselfeld, M.D., and Barry Solomon, M.D., M.P.H., want you to know that waiting too long to get help can be a greater risk to your health than the COVID-19 infection. They offer examples of health issues for adults and children that warrant a visit to a health care provider, either in person or online.
