Consider this: for every 100 employees in the workforce, 5 percent will have a history of cancer and 27.1 percent of those employees will be in treatment for cancer.

An overwhelming majority of employees who have received a cancer diagnosis—particularly those with breast cancer—either want to or need to keep working through treatment. And employers want to keep their experienced employees on the job and productive.

So, what can employers do to support their employees who are going through cancer treatment to keep your company running efficiently, and manage the related health care costs?
