Paying Attention to the Impact of Cancer in the Workplace Pays off for Employees and Employers

Consider this: for every 100 employees in the workforce, 5 percent will have a history of cancer and 27.1 percent of those employees will be in treatment for cancer.
An overwhelming majority of employees who have received a cancer diagnosis—particularly those with breast cancer—either want to or need to keep working through treatment. And employers want to keep their experienced employees on the job and productive.
