Small Companies Can Get A Big Benefit from an Onsite Employee Health Clinic
Thu, 1 Feb 2018
There’s a common misperception that onsite employee health clinics are only cost-effective for organizations with 800 or more employees. That’s why the findings of a recent independent analysis of 25 Johns Hopkins onsite employee health clinics are so interesting.
- For every $1.00 employers spent on health care, there was a $3.90 return on that investment.
- And the average number of employees at each site — approximately 400.
The results of the study—which looked at medical, pharmacy, workers compensation and productivity outcomes over a five-year period—also revealed that this ROI applies to companies that don’t have a worker’s compensation issue.
