Lillie D. Shockney, R.N., B.S., M.A.S.

Lillie Shockney is University Distinguished Service Professor of Breast Cancer, and former director of the Johns Hopkins Breast Center and Cancer Survivorship Programs, at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. She is the co-developer of Naviance®, and co-founder of the Academy of Oncology Nurse and Patient Navigators (AONN+). She is a sought-after expert in the cancer field, especially in navigation, survivorship, patient-centered care, preservation of quality of life, end-of-life planning, improving the cancer patient’s experience and clinical outcomes.

Though Naviance was developed for Hopkins’ 59,000 employees in 2012, the program became so successful that other businesses and corporations wanted to offer it as an employee benefit. Lillie worked with the Johns Hopkins HealthCare Solutions team to leverage our expertise in product development, marketing and customer engagement, eventually scaling the program across various industries – legal, healthcare, education and financial services.
